About Us
In 2024 Cheryl Flood and two other parents of SPM students, Amy Egbert and Meg Becker, saw a need to create an independent nonprofit organization with a focus on assisting in the long-term growth and development of Catholic Montessori education in Shelby County. Thus, the Friends of St. Philomena Montessori School came to be.
We seek to provide financial assistance to St. Philomena Montessori School in Anna, Ohio, in ways that contribute meaningfully to its identity as a faithfully Catholic and authentically Montessori school while also saving for the future growth and long-term needs of the school. All contributions are carefully stewarded by the Board of Friends of SPMS through our fund at the Community Foundation of Shelby County.
In the past we have elected to use your valuable donations to provide high-quality materials to the classroom and atrium and to assist in the recruitment of highly qualified teaching staff for the school. We will continue to provide for important current needs of the school while also keeping an eye towards saving and carefully stewarding your contributions for the long-term development of St. Philomena Montessori School.
